I guess this has gotten resolved?

I had the same problem. I first installed the version on the ubuntu repositories, so what I did was find the file denemo.conf and copy it to /etc/denemo/denemo.conf in order to install it.

Once installed, I got a runtime error because it couldn't find the version 3 of a shared library (I don't remember which, sorry). Ubuntu 8.10 has de version 7 instead. As a workaround I made a symlink between the so.3 and the .so.7 files.

Result: Denemo 0.8 working on ubuntu 8.10

It seems that the deb from denemo (0.8) doesn't handle correclty the dependencies, because now aptitude says that denemo dependencies are not being used by any program and wants to delete them when I update.

I tried to uninstall the previous version of denemo and install the newest deb new.
It comes up with the following error:

dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von /tmp/denemo_0.8.0-1.deb (-- install):
Kann >>./ezc/denemo/denemo.conf<< nichzt erzeugen: No such file or directory

Same error when Installing over existing 0.7.7.3 version.

How can the newest version of Denemo being installed on Ubuntu 8.10?
