When a new bibliographic item is introduced in texmacs, the bibliography is not updated automatically. Instead, it is necessary to update it three times to get the desired result. (This is probably due to the way bibtex works.) Meanwhile, the focus of the document is shifted to the bibliography section.

This is quite unpractical, especially when working with a large set of bibliographic items. The best solution would be that when introducing a new bibliography, the bibliography section be updated automatically, a number assigned to the bibliographic item, and the focus not shifted. Or at least, one would like that "update bibliography" would be executed thrice automatically, so that one does not have to click three times.

If for some reasons one should not like the automatic update, a button could be added in the preferences allowing to toggle away from "automatic update bibliographic items".
