Ok, my fault, I did pass a const string to tmpnam.
Passing NULL won't be thread-safe though, so we need to
pass actual storage, L_tmpname size long..
Will work on this later today.

Still.. if I enable the code in dumpCookies (plugin.cpp)
I get a segfault in both epiphany and iceape:

[XPCOM] trying to dump cookies
Segmentation fault

... now why ? :)

As of revision 9952 we should be using 1.8 now..
we link and iceape and epiphany load us fine.

Confirmed !

-L/usr/lib/iceape -lxpcomglue_s -lxpcom -lplds4 -lplc4 -lnspr4
^^^^ this fixes the load in iceape and still works with epiphany

Basically changed -L and drop -lxul.
Now, how to find the lib I wouldn't know... we can look into
/usr/lib/iceape. And we should usggest package iceape-dev-bin
for that glue.

as discussed in https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?24439, you have to link against the 1.8 glue if you want to use it with 1.8 and 1.9. Using the 1.9 glue at built time will cause undefined symbols when loading the plugin into a 1.8 xpcom environment

Omitting the XPCOM_LIBS from plugins/Makefile.am fixes it for me,
and works for both epiphany and iceape.

Note that iceape-bin itself in debian lenny has links to libxul/libxpcom which are not fuond. Epiphany doesn't have
the links at all.

Committed revision 9949.

Epiphany works fine, iceape gives:
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /home/strk/.mozilla/plugins/libgnashplugin.so [libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]

This is with the same libgnashplugin.so being used.
