They are really not there, check with listswf...

Indeed it's more or less quick enough now (I have to wait a couple of seconds). Why aren't the exports found?

We basically didn't consider the case in which we've been called
when all advertised frames in the SWF were loaded.
In other words, we never avoided the sleep. Now we do, it fits
8 different lookups in a second for me now.

Code has been commented and TODO added for dealing with malformed
swf (advertised frames != actual number of frames).

Committed revision 9933.

Symbols lookup is triggered by attachMovie().
Not-found symbols are indeed NOT found in EXPORT tags of the SWF movie.
I wonder if there's something about attachMovie() that we don't know...

gui/gtk-gnash -v 'http://dailymotion.alice.it/flash/dmplayer/dmplayer.swf?1198003999'

Oh, but is this a case of self-import ?
As if it isn't we'd be really waiting for the full SWF download
or for loading_frame >= m_frame_count, which depends on well-formesness of the SWF (there's no check for parsingComplete)

Make the sleep 1/20 of a second, or even less..
That's basically waiting for more SWF to come.
There's a 2 second overall timeout if no new frames arrive.

After every failed lookup of an export symbol, Gnash sleeps for half a second. The video player from dailymotion.com looks up about 100 symbols and fails to find them (which is presumably a second bug), and the video doesn't start for almost a minute, by which time most people will have given up.

See e.g. http://www.dailymotion.com/de/featured/video/x6wra1_husky-rescue-blueberry-tree-part-ii_music

It's a black window until it's finished looking up symbols.

Should this be a blocker?
