I can play those horrible movies with ffmpeg and trunk.
Seek doesn't work, but I don't have a 'black' screen.

Seems to have been relying on the NetConnection status or NetConnection.isConnected, as it works after my last commit. Please test.

I confirm this issue: I can't play neither that SWF nor videos on youtube and veoh.com.

I'm using Gentoo AMD64, here's my 'uname -a':
Linux <hostname> 2.6.25-gentoo-r6 #1 PREEMPT Fri Jul 18 21:37:15 CEST 2008 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

I had to compile Gnash against Gstreamer because I can't activate the ffmpeg USE flag.

Here are some packets' versions:

gnash 0.8.3
agg 2.5
liboil 0.3.12
boost 1.35.0-r1
boost-build 1.35.0-r1
gstreamer 0.10.14
gst-plugins-base 0.10.14
gst-plugins-alsa 0.10.14
gst-plugins-x 0.10.14
gst-plugins-xvideo 0.10.14
gst-plugins-good 0.10.16
gst-plugins-ffmpeg 0.10.2
gst-plugins-mad 0.10.6

If you need other infos, just ask ;)

Go to http://www.winchesterint.com/winchester/news/video/video_winch070920.swf This is a SWF 8 file.

When I click on a video it doesn't play, just a black screen appears.
