Deleted whole range.

Even with the added consonants, this does not consititute a writing system for Telugu.

The "checkmark" is a structural element like the overbar in Devanagri. It is to be replaced by vowel signs when the character is followed by certain vowel characters.

Comparing with other working Telugu fonts, there need to be very many ligatures and other font features to make this work, and short of just copying what is in the other fonts, I have no way to know what is right.

This will be a great deal of work, even by someone familiar with the writing system.

Got a copy of the original Tikkana font,

Copied in remaining consonants and vowels that I could find there.

I think one vowel 0C55 is missing according to Unicode).

Strangely, the Telugu digits are alo missing.

In Tikkana, the default "checkmark" structural mark is missing from many consonants, but the glyph for the checkmark is encoded separately. (I prefer this approach too, but that isn't how Unicode does it.)

Besides this, scaled by 150%, cleaned up intersections and unnecessary control points.

The check-mark may be a default vowel "a", which is morphed into other shapes by a following vowel-modifier character.

The Unicode standard is then a bit misleading on this point: it's as though they're writing the name of the letter, rather than demonstrating an atomic glyph.

Put the check-mark piece on existing consonants.

Built up full set of consonants based on existing glyphs, following examples in Unicode standard.

Need pictorial examples of this script.

THe letters were also very small.

Scaled by 150%. Now doesn't look miniscule next to Latin letters.

Suspect the Telugu range in FreeFont is only partly there.

Less than half the glyphs in Unicode are present.

Most of the vowels aren't present.

The consonants from C2E throught C39 aren't present

Only two of the digits are present.

Furthermore, many of the existing consonants seem to be missing the "check mark" piece. Why? Could it be normal?
