I'm the original submitter of this bug. fb-gnash 0.8.3 did not reproduce this bug on the same system.

There might be slight changes in the cross compiler gcc 4.2.2 and/or uclibc 0.9.29 since then.

Using the original SWF file:

Known faulty: gnash-minimal-0.8.2 of OpenEmbedded mtn revision 0019f375eb0336cb4429b5cf69188197051fb9aa

Known good: gnash-minimal-0.8.3 of OpenEmbedded mtn revision 86723d243cf88e9e28bd5e71d4b712ca0cc213c4

In OpenEmbedded we recently added Atmel AVR32 patches #901, #902, #903 (from Atmel, for buildroot) to the gcc-4.2.2-atmel-1.0.8 release.

This might have been a possible reason.

Don't know if it's related, but I get assertion failures with fb-gnash too using yesterday's CVS. I'm currently rebuilding with fresh sources and I'll try again then..

I can't reproduce with fb-gnash (head) either.

I run into this assertion error:

fb-gnash: ../libbase/ref_counted.h: 84: void gnash::ref_counted::drop_ref() const: Assertion `m_ref_count > 0' failed.

My test SWF is from http://www.swftools.org/swfc/text6.swf

It runs fine in Adobe's Flash plugin for Ubuntu 8.04/x86.
