If GTK supports it Firefox should also support it (Gnash is mostly independent of Firefox). This feature would have to be implemented, I think, in both the renderer and the GUI...

It's questionable whether Firefox on Linux supports this at all. It may be possible in FF3.

at the polimex.net site there's a banner on top
which uses wmode=transparent. afaics this doesn't work
on gnash nor adobe plugin on linux. is there any chance
for a repair in reasonable future?
