Not very much to go on here. Please be more precise about the conditions under which this happens - at least one of the following is needed:

- which movies cause the problem?
- what happens when you close firefox after one of these movies? Is the Gnash process still running?
- what happens when you leave a page with a flash movie? Is the plugin shut down? Are Gnash processes still running? Starting Firefox from the command line should give you that information, along with 'ps aux | grep gnash' or 'top | grep gnash'

Also, please report to the Fedora packagers - it may be a problem with the build or with another package rather than Gnash.

I have gnash and gnash-plugin installed on a 64-bit (x86) fedora-8 system. Several times this week I've noticed that one or more gtk-gnash processes were running wild consuming 100% of the available cpu, long after I had logged off of the console. gtk-gnash might have been started when firefox tried to view a flash video of some sort.

Not only is this bad for the responsiveness of the system, but it causes my system to run at a higher voltage and clockrate adding considerably to the thermal load.
