Now in both roman and italic styles, Thai letters lie between 900 and -300 EM. The weight (to my eye) seems balanced with that of Latin text.

The only concern is that I implemented the vowel accents as TrueType mark-to-base and mart-to-mark lookups, and in environments that make use of these lookups, it is only partly functional. I don't understand why.

However, it leads only to a suboptimal placement of the accents, not an unreadable one, I think.

A lot of work has gone into this since.

The whole font was scaled a bit, and the tallest glyphs were further lowered, and the vertical vowel mark was trimmed a bit.

Lookup tables were made for the diacritics. This should help some programs.

Note: I'm still perplexed by the behaviour of some of the marks, they don't appear where I expect them, although others do.

The whole Thai range (Serif only) has substantially heavier strokes and taller letters than Latin, making mixed text ugly. A scaling might help.

The letters are so high that under many circumstances they are either clipped (especially in Windows) or crash into letters of the previous line.

The highest diacritics (tone marks) are so high they are often lost altogether.

The combining diacritics and vowel marks are simple overstrikes, which don't take into account the height of the letters they overstrike. Would be better to implement mark lookup tables.
