Should be fixed in head, and if not please add to one of the other similar youtube bug reports.

"Does the video that I linked to work for you?"
I'm jumping in here if I may. I had reported that gnash plugin was not playing any YouTube video. Now it is and I was ableto watch the link provided and many others. I have changed nothing at all and in fact quit trying as I had gotten the latest version in Ubuntu 8.04 when I installed the distro on my other laptop, a G3 Powerbook.
Interestingly 8.04 is running perfectly, except for Effects, on the 9 year old box.

Does the video that I linked to work for you?

I'm running a XUbuntu Gutsy with Firefox 2.0.0.13, Gnash 0.8.1 and following packages of interest installed:

gnash
gnash-common
mozilla-plugin-gnash (all 3 installed version: 0.8.1-0ubuntu3)
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg (installed 0.10.2-2ubuntu1)
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base (installed 0.10.14-1ubuntu3)
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly (installed 0.10.6-ubuntu2)
libgstreamer0.10-0 (installed 0.10.14-1ubuntu3)
libgstreamer-plugins-basel0.10-0 (installed 0.10.14-1ubuntu3)

Youtube videos work for me, except that the buttons on the bottom are strangely arranged (overlap each other).

I should say that youtube doesn't work for me with gstreamer 0.10.14, but does with 0.10.17.

The difference is this line:

NetStream playback halted; module ffdemux_flv0 reported: Das Element kann diesen Datenstrom nicht verarbeiten. Bitte schicken Sie einen Fehlerbericht.

Which suggests a failure in the gstreamer-ffmpeg plugin.

I am running 0.8.0 (trying to build 0.8.2 unsuccessfully so far) and youtube vids stopped playing for me completely about 2 weeks ago. this is why I'm trying to build 0.8.2 (see bug #22753)

No youtube videos are working for me at the moment. The only error is this internal server error when trying to load XML data from youtube:

I am using Gnash 0.8.2 in Firefox 3 beta 4 on an up-to-date Ubuntu Hardy installation. I tried to view this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEkHRhnX2Nw
with the Gnash plugin. The normal YouTube player thing appears, but clicking play shows a black screen for a few seconds and then it shows the "Share" and "Replay" icons.

The video works correctly with the official player.

I tried to turn logging on (fully verbose, logging everything) but couldn't find any produced logfile. Please let me know if I can be of further help.
