I completed committing changes to plugin/mozilla-sdk, which I hope will close this bug. I'm marking this bug "ready for test."

Not necessarily. I will add conditional code to work with the older NPAPI versions, but we'll still use the newer NPAPI 0.19 headers. Thanks for confirming that the API revision change broke it for you, though -- that confirms what I suspected.

cvs update -D 2008-03-14
under plugin/mozilla-sdk
fixes it for me.
I guess that means going back from npapi 0.19 to 0.14.

In both cases:
You get this when pointing to an .swf.
Flash resources don't play.
about:plugins shows gnash.
no other message is printed.
