Yes, seems to be fixed. With 1.0.1.4 I can no longer reproduce
the bug. Thanks -Ralf.

Hey, looks like that was another occurence of the shoving bug. It seems to be fixed in 1.0.1.4.

Additional comment.

Ralph: Also tell him to move the labels out of the middle of the equation of that will insert unwanted whitespace.

Okay. I can reproduce it.

First I had that problem again with <associate|language|american>, but that is not what this bug report is about...

The problem happens in some long equation where the user completely abused <format|line break> and <format|new line> instead of using eqnarray* (menu Math->Equations).

Attached is a more minimal document which reproduces the problem. It happens in the first equation iff it is immediately followed by the second equation. If the second equation is removed or a white paragraph is inserted, then the problem goes away.

Obviously, that user too was confused by the "line break" menu. Maybe that should be renamed "line break hint" or something. Similarly, maybe "page break" should be renamed "fill and new page" or something similar. Joris?

Ralph: you can tell him he can fix his document by removing the offending <format|line break> and <format|new line> from within his equations using a text editor.

Also I see there are many unwanted whitespaces in this document. So (after Offray document) that convinces me that TeXmacs should not allow visual design using normal space and newline, unless specifically configured for that.

I received a bug report against the debian package of
texmacs 1.0.1 from by Magnus Ekdahl <maguno@ludd.luth.se>

Texmacs segfaults on binclass.tm

To reproduce:
1. open the file (binclass.tm, attached to this bug report)
2. place the marker to the top left
3. then walk downwards using 'arrow down'.

TeXmacs bails out with

[...]
TeXmacs] Loading cmmib12 at 600 dpi
TeXmacs] Loading ecti10 at 600 dpi
Segmentation fault

This bug report refers to texmacs 1.0.1 which is compiled
with gcc 3.2.2, without any optimization options.
However, I get exactly the same error with texmacs compiled
with gcc 2.95, without any optimization options.
