This should be fixed in the latest release, as the installation process has been substantially improved.

If I try to bootstrap stow using the instructions in the manual, perl fails to find the POSIX module. In order to make it work, I have to add

-I perl/lib/perl5

to the command so that it becomes

perl/bin/perl -I perl/lib/perl5 stow/bin/stow -vv *

I'm using Perl 5.10.0.
