Sat 09 Feb 2008 09:45:41 PM UTC, comment #1: Actually, this is just reflective of my lack of understanding how -X works. -X is used to match against full paths (or, according to bug 20518, prefixes); not suffixes. And in fnmatch() (just as in shells) does not match '/'. We need a "*". Changing the bug description accordingly.	Micah Cowan <micahcowan>
Sat 09 Feb 2008 12:13:32 AM UTC, original submission: (No guarantee this will be done for 1.11.1; that's a tentative assignment. It's not a regression over 1.10.2, so that lowers its criticality.) Apparently, with -X '!COMPLETE' (and variations with wildcards, including without the !), wget still downloads .listing files and contents from a directory named !COMPLETE; but not at the root directory level.
