Perhaps you could be a bit more specific about your development environment, at least tell us which compiler you have used and what descend into chaos exactly mean.

Anyway you can find reasonably new executables and instructions for building under windows at http://www.gnubg.org

For a long time, there was no official executable released for Win32 users. I had downloaded source codes from CVS, and GTK+ libraries from GTK+ website. At first, all things went right. Since one update in November, GUI's descend into chaos. If someone fell into trouble like me, please help me to get over and it'll be very appreciated.
