It now uses a SWF9 player with AS3, so this will have to wait until AVM2 is implemented. I'll add the site to another bug.

Yeah I see what you are talking about, making those changes just make the video do weird loopy things. Any chance of fixing this? I really need to know how to balance two forks on a toothpick ;).

It fails firstly because there is a javascript (swfobject) that requires version 9.0.28.0 or higher; Gnash reports itself as 8.0.99.0 at the moment. You can change that with an environment variable, I think, or change the value FLASH_MAJOR_VERSION in configure.ac to 9, autogen and configure, and rebuild (will probably rebuild everything).

That failure should lead to an upgrade screen or something similar (http://files.5min.com/Players/expressinstall.swf), which also fails, because it looks for a file "version_gsh_ax.xml". If you add "set flashVersionString GSH 9,0,90,0" to .gnashrc, changing GSH to something else (WIN or LNX for instance), you might get something here, though not what you want.

If you load the (SWF8) movie directly:

http://files.5min.com/Players/5minPlayer.swf?vidURL=http://fivemin.vo.llnwd.net/o15/95/9456.flv

You will see more than a blank screen, but it clearly doesn't work (loops through various different frames). All of which is a shame, because I have always wanted to know how to balance two forks on a toothpick.

Hello,

I tried to play this video (or any video on this site)

http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-balance-two-forks-on-a-toothpick-9456

and it doesnt work, just shows up as white. The other flash works fine, just not the main video. I built from cvs maybe a week ago and its not working, and I rebuilt just now and its still not working. This is the first I've tried it so I can't really say if it worked before or not. Thanks much.
