Try building with --disable-media, which should do about the same then -r1

Using the null-gui (-r2) the problem goes way, so this seems to be a gtk-specific problem.

While workong on libmedia I hit my head against this bug. When playing a SWF with video and audio and gtk gui, and using the -r1 option makes gnash hangs. Tested with: http://www.jeffiscool.com/flash_movies/Numanuma.swf

My quick take: It seems both gstreamer and the the gtk-gui make use of the glib2 threading, and for some reason when using the -r1 switch makes it break so that Gui::advanceMovie() doesn't get called, and movie doesn't advance.
I haven't yet tried with other gui's so i don't know if this is a problem only with the gtk gui.
