I committed a patch for the install rule and gave konqueror a try.
Works fine for me..

No sorry, I have been updating my system (X and KDE), and I haven't got around re-installing gnash yet.

That will be a Xmas hols job, I think - still struggling to sort my fonts out :-/

I will update here when done.

I haven't forgotten this...

I am trying to trace the last known working build I had - so far after about 8 rebuilds from various dates, I have yet to get a working build (I keep hitting old bugs). Perhaps I should have recorded my build dates somewhere.

Anyway, I am still testing...

Nope, doesn't make a difference. I have looked hard at this - I don't know why it happens.

Try adding the following line to your .gnashrc:

append localSandboxPath /tmp/kde-nick/

I also have this problem it has started at 5/6 days ago!? Do you want a type of bissect!?
If i manage to have some time i'll post some follow up.
I also don't have a clue about this particular problem!? downloaded movies work right only online content doesn't work in konqueror!?
By the way the opengl render engine is making X Errors!?, do i need to open a new bug!? It's probably some unload render path that is leeking!

See if you find also the actual command run.
Might be the -U or -u switches are making access to /tmp/ a security issue (in which case you should also see a SECURITY line)

Note that with firefox we use standard input, might be good
doing the same with kparts.

KDE klash part has gone awol again. I just get 'klash: stopped' on any page that has flash.

GDB reveals:

Could not load movie '/tmp/kde-nick/konquerorypYhca.swf'
Could not load movie '/tmp/kde-nick/konqueror0jDZRb.tmp'
Could not load movie '/tmp/kde-nick/konquerorJ7BGWa.swf'

This was from a youtube movie - I noticed that only the last konquerorJ7BGWa.swf file exists.

gnash in firefox works OK.
