GNU backgammon plays with the jacaoby rule in money games, which states that no gammon or backgammon can be won unless the cube has been turned. Since that is not the case in the present game, you are correctly offered a single point as GNU backgammon can no longer win the game. See also, http://www.bkgm.com/gloss/lookup.cgi?jacoby+rule

I can win gammon, but gnubg opponent offers "resign normal" and even proposes to accept, when i ask for the hint.
Screenshot attached.

It did that already one turn before, so the fault seems NOT to be, that it takes into account the value of the next dice-roll - only not showing it.
