Performance is a general issue. Please submit specific bugs or support requests with testcases if needed.

Dear Rob

You said you have some movies run just fine on your Arm Platform,

Could you send some of your movies with attachments to here?

I want to test and just look if them can run just well on my arm

board.

Now I have replaced all the double point datas in agg-libs with

fixed one ,and it looks like can run faster than before.

Thanks!

Best Regards

jeson

Thanks Rob

What I do is just to make gnash as a standalone, I want gnash as

an application and it can play well on our platform.

I use FB as GUI, and AGG with renderer. I download some small

movies from Net, and all the movies can't be play well , it play

terribly slow. Then , if the movies is too big ,it's effect were

more terrible.

I will to use 0.8.1-release and check the result.

I've probably run Gnash on more ARM based systems than anyone else. 266Mhz is pretty low end for the complex rendering that is required to do flash movies. I've had some movies run just fine on my 200Mhz ARM system, and others run terribly slow on the same platform. A lot of the performance is specific to the flash movie being played. So just saying Gnash is too slow isn't really a bug. I noticed this bug report refers to the 0.8.0 release. The 0.8.1 release has much better performance than 0.8.0. That release was mostly focused on streaming video support.

My experimenting has shown that 200Mhz or so CPUs without any graphics acceleration will render some movies just fine, but more complex ones require more like a 400Mhz or better processor when using AGG.

My CPU is ARM926EJ-S, It's main frequency is 266MHz

Thanks!

I'm sorry to trouble you, I meet some problems when run gnash on arm platform.

Now, the gnash has transplanted to arm board, but when it play, it's effeciency is too slow,

and the graphs displayed too slowly. I use AGG with renderer,

and I found when deal with vector graphs , it took too many time
to do the work, in agg libs, there are also so many double point
type compute when rastering the graphs. So I want to know how can I resolve the problem I counted.Hope you can give me some suggestions. Thanks!
