Looks like duplicate of Bug #15922 (the oldest still-open bug). I'd guess produced by the same software.

Please try forcing redraw by uncommenting the line in gui.cpp:

//#define FORCE_REDRAW 1

At several times throughout this demo, a mouse pointer moves across the screen. Gnash shows the pointer's trail, but it shouldn't.
