This happens when antialiasing is forcibly set to 2x or higher in nvidia x server settings.

Driver version - 169.12. 7300GT.

Nick, could you tell us what version of the nvidia drivers you are/were using? Just in case...

OK, AGG works great.

I guess as using OpenGL and nVidia driver, we can never debug what happened with my set up, and as nobody else reported it, I guess we never can.

So this can be closed - AGG from now on :-)

I was using OpenGL, but now reading, I see AGG is preferred, so I will try this tonight.

Another question... AGG doesn't have install scripts, so I guess I have to do it manually, or is there a special way to use with Gansh build?

What renderer are you using ? Try AGG ?
Did you try current HEAD ?
