Please close this bug, i had strange behaviour with other programs shorty after and it probably boils down to a hardware memory corruption issue (due to unpaired DIMMs). With the memory removed, the bug was not reproduceable. Sorry for the noise.

that's 28-30K evals/s of course

Additional notes:

1. Speedup

Even on my HT-single core, i see a speedup from ~25K evals/s to 38-30 evals/s. Great!

2. Reproduciability

I tried another time, this time calibrate sinply froze without any error message. Evals, however, work fine. Feels somewhat like a race condition triggered by calibrate.

I'm running Windows XPSP2 on a P4-HT. The crash occured as follows:

1. Deinstall existing gnubg 0.15 stable
2. Install and configure 20070703 snapshot, configure
3. Add threaded binaries to folder
4. Set #threads to 2
5. Run calibration
6. Bang. See screenshot.
