Fixed the Number testcase (and Gnash handling of it)

As I said, the best way to handle these is by discussing each test containing failures in turn, maybe opening a bug item for each ?

I'm trying to port the info on the wiki, but it's a long and boring work ... In particular, I'd like to gather as many differences between Adobe players as possible, and eventually make up a wiki page just for that.

I also "fixed" MovieClip and ported info about Date and Number to the wiki.

Also, I committed a greatly improved version of the TextField.as test. It looks that createTextField keeps returning undefined even in SWF8 (you mention it changes in your comments about MovieClip.as)

I started copying the test results to the wiki.
Finished Mouse and Microphone, which seem to reveal obvious bugs in the testcases. The work need to be completed. I need help there.

Yes, this kind of report is very useful.
Even more useful is if you could get an account for the wiki and write this info directly there, so that's easily updated when things change and integrated with other results with other players and we have space for discussion about what the problems are.

See http://www.gnashdev.org/wiki/index.php/Testcases

Ask on gnash-dev for an account:

Thanks a lot

I ran all of the test SWFs in testsuite/actionscript.all, and am cataloging which ones fail in the official player. This is useful, because if your tests are incorrect, then people will write code which passes the incorrect tests, thinking it is valid when really their code is incorrect.

I am using the standalone Linux 9.0.31.0 flash player.

WARNING: it has been reported that adobe flash player version 9 fails a few tests here.
We belive those are actually adobe player bugs since older versions
of the player are reported to pass all tests. If you have another idea
we'd be glad to hear from you, just check the testcase source code.
