It works fine for me. Are you using OpenGL renderer ? OpenGL is known to be bogus when it comes to render device fonts.

I just tried a HelloWorld with Mtasc, with CVS Gnash version. It seems that something displayed but not what expected. Screen shoot, source and binary are attached.

<changed title to different bug with same testcase>

Asger:

The assert bug reported yesterday has been fixed, but the test case is not wrking yet: Nothing appears on the screen. It seems that Gnash decides not to display anything if a font has not been set - contrary to Adobe Flash. When run with -v, it says:

ERROR: error: text style with undefined font; font_id = -1

strk:

I just committed a patch to complete implementation of createTextField
and adding use of a default font when not available.

Please try again.

2007/7/5, Asger Ottar Alstrup <asger@area9.dk>:

I'm trying to see if CVS Gnash of today can run a .SWF made with haXe (see http://www.haxe.org).

I'm using this Hello.hx file:

class Hello {
static public function main() {
trace("Hello");
}
}

and compiling with

haxe -main Hello -swf hello.swf

which produces the attached .swf file.

When I run this, I get:

$ gnash -a hello.swf
** (lt-gnash:11554): WARNING **: Couldn't find pixmap file: GnashG.png
lt-gnash: ../server/vm/fn_call.h:82: gnash::as_value& gnash::fn_call::arg(unsigned int) const: Assertion `n < nargs` failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

I expected a window with the text "Hello.hx:3: Hello" in it.

Any ideas what is wrong?
