An update to my bug report:

Turning off "State - Respect document structure" also leads to a well displayed file.

The bug report is baed on a bug reported on

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=77097

Here only a short summary and an update to GV version cvs head:

The postscript file attached to the redhat bugzilla is being created with AppleWorks 6 running on MacOS 9. It displays well with

gs -sDEVICE=x11 test.ps
gsview test.ps
kghostview test.ps

Older GV crashed with this file according to the bug report cited above.

With current gv (cvs head), the boundinmg box is detected wrong 'nd therefore an empty page is displayed. After choosing e. g. A4-Paper in GV, it is displayed well, too.

Greetings M. Steinborn
