I actually meant the other file, which worked correctly for a while: file #13168: png_alpha_test.swf.

With alphaadv_1pngE.swf, I'm not sure how it's supposed to look.

Could anyone put that file in testsuite/samples and make a MovieTester based testrunner for it using check_pixel ?
Having an automated testcase will make sure once fixed we'll immediately notice in case we break it...

file #13164: alphaadv_1pngE.swf is looking bad again.

I committed a /partial/ fix for this bug (please test). It fixes AGG rendering problems for my own testcase (png_alpha_test.swf), but the original test case still does not get rendered right.

I noticed that a strance cxform is passed to the renderer:

r: 1 +0, |g: 1 +0, |b: 1 +0, |a: -1 +255

See that alpha values?

Also, OpenGL does not render this file correctly. It just shows a blank window with a white stage, when moving the window around the stage becomes black but the image is not visible at any time.

Note that the standalone PP just shows a white stage after startup. When the window is resized the image becomes visible.

So, can please someone verify that the SWF is not malformed?

I still have no idea why this happens, but it looks like if non-opaque pixels are multiplied incorrectly if, and only if, the background is pure(!) white.

Maybe it is a bug in AGG itself (unlikely) - still looking at this issue.

OpenGL get's it right (see screenshot-opengl.png) although it has other rendering problems (see the outline of the rectangle...)

So it's apparently an AGG problem.

Confirm too. I attached another example that shows inproper rendering with AGG (didn't check other renderers).

The sample shows a full size PNG with alpha channel. The area behind the curtain is fully transparent and the curtain itself is slightly transparent. The rotated blue rectangle is a shape at a depth behind the PNG.

Gnash renders fine where the two shapes intersect, but shows random pixels in the transparent area (see screenshot.png).

I'll check AGG code now...

I confirm with AGG, which renderers did you try ?

In the attached file there is an example of a png with alfa for some reason does not reder correctly.
