our freetype.m4 doesn't look for ft2build.h

FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h includes or not
the ft headers based on the USE_FREETYPE macro.
Do I get it rigth you have USE_FREETYPE defined
and HAVE_FREETYPE2_FREETYPE_FREETYPE_H undefined ?

I don't see how defining the HAVE_FREETYPE... macro
could change anything there, as I can't find any
source file making use of it.

On an intel mac running OS X 10.4.11 with all of the dependencies installed (from fink and from source) I had to change line 162 of gnashconfig.h from:

/* #undef HAVE_FREETYPE2_FREETYPE_FREETYPE_H */

to

#define HAVE_FREETYPE2_FREETYPE_FREETYPE_H 1

to compile gnash. I only knew to look at that line after greping for "freetype". Any way this could've been avoided?

Before, I was getting the following error:

In file included from ../../server/font.h:31,
from edit_text_character_def.cpp:29:
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:33:23: error: ft2build.h: No such file or directory
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:34:11: error: #include expects "FILENAME" or <FILENAME>
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:35:11: error: #include expects "FILENAME" or <FILENAME>
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:157: error: expected ',' or '...' before '&' token
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:157: error: ISO C++ forbids declaration of 'FT_Bitmap' with no type
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:160: error: 'FT_Library' does not name a type
../../server/FreetypeGlyphsProvider.h:161: error: 'FT_Face' does not name a type

We have a freetype.m4 since September.

I don't think it should be fixed, until we have a freetype.m4 (GNASH_PKG_FIND doesn't accept custom include dirs to scan)

This should be fixed in CVS now, please test.

We're just using the general GNASH_PKG_FIND macro to look for freetype. The header being looked for is freetype/freetype.h, which is tipically under feetype2 dir (not the default path).
Interesting enough, ft2build.h is in standard dirs, but reguardless its main use (abstract from header locations) it simply doesn't work unless you have the freetype2/ dir in your include path !!

This is with Ubuntu Dapper, at least.

Gnash (HEAD) fails to build on Mandriva if freetype-devel package installed. Autoconf doesn't find freetype/freetype.h with pkg-config and uses the default include path instead, which is wrong, to build. It's fine if I tell it where to look with --with-freetype-incl.
