I took a closer look. The problem seems to be in not supporting levels. the getUrl is trying to load into _level1, _level2 and so on.. I added a log_unimpl call for this.

In any case, opening into a new tab seems to be the default when calling 'firefox -remote "openurl(...)"' and I couldn't find a way to open in the same tab/window. This would be fixed by #5919 task.

Assuming Sandro's guess is correct, I'm postponing this as task #5919 will not come before the release.

w/out looking at it, I guess the 'firefox' hard-coded thing
is opening new tabs. So this bug depends on task #5919.
If confirmed we can encode this using the Dependency feature
of savane.

BTW, a guy expressed the will to work on the communication protocol (I think he started already). He's on #gnash, but can't remember the nick currently...

I'm not entirely sure what the intended behaviour is. However, it seems to relate to getUrl. strk?

In this case an example explains it better than many words, so try this webpage with gnash installed as plugin: http://movies.go.com. I assume than instead of opening SWFs in new windows, it is supposed to replace the old one.
