- pinguin.swf ok.
- htf_sweet.swf now gives a different assertion,
after the intro is over:
(<unknown>:30518): GStreamer-CRITICAL **:
gst_segment_to_stream_time:
assertion `segment->format == format' failed
- Neuro.swf ok too, may be of interest it gives lots of these:
DEBUG: Play request while we're already playing: repeat.

Summing up our IRC discussion:
The UNIMPLEMENTED messages are not related to the embedded WAV testcase because it contains a DEFINESOUNDSTREAM2 tag but doesn't use such sound sample blocks.
I had to install gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 and now I can play sound with Gnash. However, I still get those bs_add_buffer messages.

After the patch adding unimplemented messages:
UNIMPLEMENTED: Different stream/playback sound rate (0/1)
UNIMPLEMENTED: Different stream/playback sample size (32/16)
UNIMPLEMENTED: MP3 delay seek 1633
Does the movie also contain DEFINESOUNDSTREAM tag ?
nonetheless, ffmpeg plays it fine.

Attached a new simple testcase.
It's a simple SWF6 with an embedded WAV that should be played in frame 1 (no ActionScript).
Still get lots of
- (<unknown>:3828): CRITICAL **: bs_add_buffer: assertion `size != 0' failed
Anybody knows something about this??

Confirm the same problem. Playing the souvenir.swf.
I hear no sound at all and get tons of these messages.
Using GST 0.10 (Debian 4) with Fluendo mp3 decoder (gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3).
Gnash: current CVS at the time of writing.

Yes, for NEURO, just checke, I hear ALL the sound till the end.
The assertions arrive exactly at the end of sound.
Note that sound is ahead of animation, so when sound ends the animation is not yet completed.

Does the audio play anyway? There is supposed to be a trumpet, then the sound of the yeti swinging the club back, and then swinging it forward.

This also triggers the same assertion failure: http://n.ethz.ch/student/mkos/pinguin.swf
At first click, when pinguin starts to drop.

I can't reproduce... I only tried the http://www.freaknet.org/martin/video/Bozzetto/Bruno%20Bozzetto%20-%20Neuro.swf since the other link isn't really a link to a SWF. When does the warning appear? All the time? At the end?

Also happens with Bozzetto's Neuro:
