Yes, it works great now (using everything from CVS).

Hi Bernhard,

can you check if pnetlib builds with current pnet cvs and gcc 4.2.0 now.

The only major difference on my box is the gcc version used (4.1.2).

Can you try a stable gcc version and see if pnet compiled with that version doesn't compile pnetlib too?

i've just tried the release on my box (x86_64) bison 2.3, flex 2.5.33 and gcc 4.1.2 and pnetlib compiled.

That's to make sure that it's no gcc issue.

No special profile, just plain ./configure --prefix=/usr, make, make install (in all parts of pnet)

bison 2.3
flex 2.5.33
glibc 2.5
gcc 4.2 snapshot
binutils 2.17.50.0.14

Can you tell me something about your configuration?

Which versions of Flex/Bison are used?

Did you configure pnet with any special profile?

Compiling pnetlib (after building and installing libjit 0.1.0, treecc 0.3.10, pnet 0.8.0) barfs with

Random.cs:46: syntax error, unexpected '{', expecting "`class'" or "`interface
'" or "`struct'" at or near `{'
./System/Random.cs:53: syntax error, unexpected "`int'", expecting "`class'" or
"`interface'" or "`struct'" at or near `int'
./System/Random.cs:57: syntax error, unexpected "`int'", expecting "`class'" or
"`interface'" or "`struct'" at or near `int'

The code in question is

41: #if !ECMA_COMPAT
42: protected virtual double Sample()
43: #else
44: private double Sample()
45: #endif
46: {

If I remove the #if/#else/#endif construct, everything works as expected (until it hits the next file with the same construct.
Looks like something isn't parsing #if correctly?
