Most probably a duplicate of #19426: memory allocation in Mach is not
very flexible.

Booting a sub-hurd for testing purposes (i.e., it was not expected to come up fully) made Mach crash as follows:

#v+
panic: zalloc: zone ipc ports exhausted
Kernel Breakpoint trap, eip 0x1189e7
Stopped at 0x1189e6: int $3
#v-

This didn't happen before, when using the same procedure to boot it.
