Works for me with both ffmpeg and gst.

Doesn't stop anymore with head, so regression (if ever was one)
is now fixed.
Still, sound isn't right.
Gstreamer reports:
(<unknown>:27323): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_segment_to_stream_time: assertion `segment->format == format' failed
and sometimes output some same sound, but mostly is silent
or makes low noise.

I confirm the stop at end of loading.
Seems like a regression. I tested with ffmpeg, FWIW.

This doesn't play at all for me; it sticks at the screen after loading.
It also gets 30 auto audio sinks.

I hear NO sound and get these messages:
(<unknown>:31382): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_segment_to_stream_time: assertion `segment->format == format' failed
many of them

I just hear static now.

With gst backend I hear 'meteors becoming crashed into us' twice - that is, where the sound used to start playing twice, and two of another same sound effect later. Otherwise it's silent all the way through.
I get this error message a few times:
- (<unknown>:22183): CRITICAL **: gst_capsfilter_prepare_buf: assertion `out_caps != NULL' failed

I confirm sound keeps looping, and that the playback of animation seems better.

This movie now plays correctly with current head, except for some sound issues, so i've changed the summery into reflecting that

Are you saying that with mad it doesn't reset to the starting frame ?
|
Sat 12 May 2007 12:14:26 PM UTC, comment #4:
Still present in opengl-gtk-ffmpeg. Now plays ok but resets to the starting frame after 11.5 seconds' play. If you press play again it does the same.
With opengl-gtk-mad the sound is garbled and bubbly, but it "plays" all the way through.

I fixed the deadlock by modifying total frame count when at end of parsing the number of frames loaded is less then the frame count
and. Not exactly what we want probably, anyway this file reveals a bug in the parser (and not only for Gnash, also for flasm and for Ming).
|
Tue 10 Apr 2007 02:19:31 PM UTC, comment #2:
I confirm the bug. Unfortunately both Ming and flasm choke on the input. The file advertise an high number of frames but then
it's likely NOT providing enough SHOWFRAME tags so the advertised
number of frames is never fully loaded.
A possible fix is likely resetting frame count when
the parser thread finishes and triggering the frame reached
condition even if the requested frame has never been
reached. IIRC the function signature for the 'waiter' is
already able to return a false value if any problem occurs.

This swf plays for a bit, and then just hangs: http://www.media.ebaumsworld.com/endofworld.swf
The only error message is this:
ERROR: *** no tag loader for type 515 (movie)
There is a sound bug which makes the audio play to fast, but i have that fixed locally and will commit when i get a free moment. It doesn't change the bug described.
