You have this feature in the "Go" menu.

It would be nice to have a menu item which contains a list of recently opened files in previous texmacs sessions. This menu item for example could go under the "File menu" as

File -> Open Recent -> File1
-> File2
-> File3

There should also be a configuration item using which the user can choose how many recently opened files need to be displayed under this menu.

thanks
