"klash" no longer exists as a program. It's just "gnash" configured with opengl and kde. However, that works fine standalone playing green.swf and any other tests I throw at it. Closing bug.

The original bug was about klash working differently then gnash.
Since now they are both the same code except for klash using the KDE gui I belive that bug is fixed.
Also, I tested and can confirm mouse events work with the kde gui.

Bottom line: ready for test, as I belive it being fixed.

Whether it uses OpenGL or not is not the bug. I am also using unaccelerated hardware. Anyway, after a little testing, we can migrate the patch from the 0.8.0 branch to CVS, but I don't think we want to. I think we're better off going ahead after the release to make all the gui load dynamically.

Note that klash is forced to use opengl renderer, which is pretty slow unless you have accelerated hardware drivers.

As for events, please try the current 0.8.0 branch from CVS,
seems to work fine.

Hi,

Klash HEAD (cvs-20061110) does not play SWF files faster than Gnash anymore. :) But it continues to consume 100% CPU.

Also, it doesn't accept any keyboard/mouse input, except the left click (menu). For instance, I'm not able to interact in zoomhenge.swf because Klash does not "grab the mouse".

Have you tried the standalone player on an x86 machine ? In the 0.7.2 branch, the standalone klash works just fine on my Fedora Core 5 machine.

I have the same problem here (only tested with standalone Klash). Even green.swf causes Klash to hang (it eats all my CPU). Elvis.swf is played in about 6 seconds (and then freezes). Also, shortcut keys (like Ctrl-Q/Ctrl-W) do not work.

Gnash works correctly.

My box:

Gnash/Klash 0.7.2

Debian GNU/Linux AMD64 (testing)
gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20061028 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-19)

libqt3-headers 3.3.7-1
libqt3-mt 3.3.7-1
libqt3-mt-dev 3.3.7-1

./configure --enable-plugin --with-plugindir=/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/

After compilation with this option :
$ ./configure --enable-klash --with-plugindir=/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/ --enable-sound=SDL --enable-plugin

Klash is bugged as standalone when opening "*.swf" file from testsuite ; plays faster than Gnash on same file than freezes ban the end on a fixed trembling picture !
regards.
