Would someone with FC5 x86_64 try this again now and let us know whether this is still a problem please

Thanks

You are right - here is the output:
curl-config --libs
-L/usr/kerberos/lib64 -lcurl -ldl -lgssapi_krb5 -lkrb5 -lk5crypto -lkrb5support -lcom_err -lresolv -lidn -lssl -lcrypto -lz

I've seen this on my machine (also x86_64 FC5). The output of "curl-config --libs" here is "-L/usr/kerberos/lib64 -lcurl -ldl -lgssapi_krb5 -lkrb5 -lk5crypto -lkrb5support -lcom_err -lresolv -lidn -lssl -lcrypto -lz"

What does "curl-config --libs" say on your machine ? I think this is the problem as curl-config doesn't supply the path for libidn, just the name. To fix this we'll have to patch the results as a follow up pass to add the path for libidn, or maybe search for it with AC_CHECK_LIB().

Using CVS source, I do the following:

./autogen.sh

./configure --enable-plugin --enable-sound=sdl --with-mp3-decoder=ffmpeg

I get the following error:

g++: /usr/lib/libidn.so: No such file or directory

Hacking the ./libbabse/Makefile allows me to work-around this, as the problem seems to be that g++ is not being told to look for libidn.so in /usr/lib64.

CURL_LIBS = -L/usr/kerberos/lib64 -lcurl -ldl -lgssapi_krb5 -lkrb5 -lk5crypto -lkrb5support -lcom_err -lresolv -lssl -lcrypto -lz -L/usr/lib64 -lidn
