Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the bug report. Although this is a bug, php5 is not officially supported for 0.9.16. Our php5 policy is to fix issues as they are found, so long as the effort involved is not far greater than the effort involved in using a work around. In this case, a work around exists which is simple compared to the fix.

A couple of days ago I fixed setup in HEAD, so this should not be an issue in the next major release of phpgw - 0.9.18RC1 due in around 4 weeks.

Cheers

Dave

After switching from php.ini-dist to php.ini-recommended, I could no longer complete the setup process in setup/config.php. Submitting the form would merely "blink" the page, clear the fields, and store no configuration in the database.

I determined that re-enabling the register_long_arrays option allowed me to use most of the php.ini-recommended configuration and complete the configuration process.

Using superglobals would be the optimal solution.

Environment:

phpGroupWare 0.9.16.010
PHP 5.1.4
Apache 2.2.2
FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE-p4
