GNU Backgammon 0.14.3-devel

Version 0.14.3-devel (build Mar 2 2005)

Hi, please help.

I'm running GNU Backgammon 0.14.3-devel
- Version 0.14.3-devel (build Mar 2 2005)

I have installed Python 2.4.3 along with Mark Hammond's Win Extensions for this version of python. (pywin32-209.win32-py2.4.exe)

When I start the GNU Backgammon GUI and goto Windows > Python shell (IDLE)... -NOTHING HAPPENS!

When I start the no gui-version on the command line and type ">" python appears to function.

I've read on these forums that there is some bug in the GNU gui which means the python shell does not open and that even when this problem is fixed, commands fed through the shell do have the effect of updating the gui.

These threads though were from 2003! Have these problems been ironed out yet? Any help would be useful.

Regards
Dave.
