I have now removed the patch from CVS.

The Georgian letter 'don' 10d3 was not changed by the patch.
Rather, 10e3, which is meant to be distinct from 10d3 'ghan',
http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U10A0.pdf
was made to be identical.

Maybe I somehow got the patch inverted. I can't imagine.

Note: The Georgian uppercase letters are just copies of the lowercase ones, which is wrong.

So: is there still a problem?

The patch addresses different characters than it advertizes.
U+10E6 and U+10E7, Georgian Ghan and Qar.
But after looking several times, I can hardly tell what changed. I'll have to do a screen dump.

In any case, the problem with Georgian D is not fixed by this patch.

I think I applied this patch, but the problem is not fixed.

U10E6 should be distinct from U10D3, but it is not.
Compare with the little test pictures in FontForge, or with FreeSans, or look at the Ubuntu bug report.

What went wrong?

This has been reported in Ubuntu as https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/ttf-freefont/+bug/45898
and forwarded to Debian as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=377266

I attach the patch sent by the Ubuntu maintainer which, I think comes from one of the team member on savannah. Am I right?
