Just a reminder to myself:

This should work and stop the translation from taking place (sure? check the "translatable?" predicate), but the second verbatim breaks it.

File names should never be translated. They should appear as in the OS's file manager.

I have a file called 'test.tm'. If I use TeXmacs in English, there is no problem. But if I use it in Spanish, when I click on the menu entry 'Go', I get 'probar.tm' instead of 'test.tm' in the list of opened files. For your information, 'probar' is the Spanish translation of 'test'. The bug should be quite easy to reproduce.

In the TeXmacs-users list Andrey G. Grozin provided a more in deep explanation about the bug:

"TeXmacs pumps everything it outputs via its translation engine, including file names (it translates /home too), names of computer algebra systems (like Axiom), and so on. This "feature" is as old as the translation mechanism in TeXmacs. I told Joris that this is not acceptable many times. The answer always was that he wants to implement a completely new and far better translation mechanism, and until that (indefinite) moment he does not want to fix the obvious bug in the existing mechanism."
