Ok, I'll consider closed than. THanks.

with -v -r2 or -r0, it proceeds with ERROR printed
until some point, at that point it still uses cpu, but
doesn't output anything more. It seems to be leaking memory
a bit, but not dramatically.

well, the assertion you mention come from the libserver, so it should not be necessary to use any renderer to reproduce, you
can use gnash -r0 (no render/no sound) or -r2 (no render, yes sound)
and eventually -v to see what happens.

I don't get an assertion failed on 0.7.2.
However, with gtkglext and certainly with bad or no
hardware acceleration it completly stuck my computer (while
other swf just play slowly). So I am not completly sure that
it reaches the same place in the movie.

I can't reproduce this in the 0.7.2 branch, can you Patrice ?

gnash -v -a Sugar_Suite_Interactive.swf > Sugar_Suite.out 2>&1

leads to a somehow different assertion failed:
gnash: swf/ASHandlers.cpp:166: gnash::as_value gnash::SWF::construct_object(const gnash::as_value&, gnash::as_environment&, unsigned int, unsigned int): Assertion `0' failed.

And the log seems different too.

Actually, 2) is incorrect. A non-NULL argument is passed.

Verbose output tells me that:

16:59:56: ERROR: can't create object with unknown class 'MovieClip'

So I guess this bug can be attributed to a partially implemented MovieClip.

1) ASSetPropFlags is undocumented. I don't think it's a good idea for authors to rely on undocumented behaviour in published material. But, I suppose saying that is about as effective as telling web designers to not rely on IE-specific behaviour.

2) As indicated by the assertion, ASSetPropFlags is called with a NULL as the first argument. It is unknown to me what the correct behaviour should be when NULL is passed. Perhaps the _global object should be assumed?

With the following
http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/downloads/demos/Sugar_Suite_Interactive.swf

gnash standalone aborts with the following assertion failed:

[dumas tmp]$ gnash Sugar_Suite_Interactive.swf gnash: action.cpp:1290: void gnash::as_global_assetpropflags(const gnash::fn_call&): Assertion `obj != __null' failed.
Aborted
