May no longer need a work around. By now IBM e325 BMC must have got firmware update and IPMI compliance.

REPLY FROM RENE:

Sorry for the delayed response things are a bit crazy around here. I gave up trying to use the BMC on the IBM e325 a while back because it was so buggy.

I will try to test this out next time we schedule some downtime and will report back.

Rene

Title: GNU FreeIPMI (0.2.3) support for IBM e325 BMC.
Description: BMC erroneously reported KCS as memory mapped device, but it was only I/O mapped. Forcefully hard-coding made bmc-info work. How ever other tools did not completely work. May be this BMC firmware is buggy or not fully IPMI compliant.
