The problem seems to have gone away now.

With current CVS, this not only does not crash for me, but produces the output that I would expect to see. I can only assume that the bug that it reports has been fixed in the meantime.

I did need to make a small change in the test syntax file: insert a space at the beginning of the second and subsequent lines in the DATA LIST command, so that they are not treated as the beginning of new commands.
