The current version of GNUmail does not have this problem so either it was resolved in GNUstep or GNUmail.  Either way, I believe this to have been resolved at some point.  I am closing this.

I have seen this a couple of times, too. However, I suspect this to be a
problem with GNUstep and not with GNUMail. This problem occurred on my machine
only after I updated GNUstep to HEAD from CVS about 4 weeks ago. I do not
remember having seen this bug before. As there were basically no changes
(iirc) in GNUMail's CVS for about 3 months now, my first suspect is GNUstep.
Of course, I might be a bug in GNUMail that has gone undetected so far.....
HTH.

Cheers.
Andreas

PS: I just detected something totally different. I just switched my sender
address to the one for the mailing list and the mail editor did not swap
signatures, but merely added the signature for the second account below the
one for the first.

I am not sure to which bug you are refering to. I checked this mail and the follow ups on that server and to me it looks like Ludovico stated later on (28th of March) that he was able to fix the bug.

Could you please give more details of what is wrong (and set the bug report back to open!). Otherwise I will be closing this bug report.

See this message for a description of the bug:

http://sophos.ca/pipermail/gnumail-users/2006-March/001262.html

The call to [NSApp abortModal] seems to cause this havoc.
