Thanks. I fixed those other install issues.

ok, thanks Adam. That should be mentioned in INSTALL document I think.
As a side note, I have observed an issue a bit similar with 'Startup' module: I cannot use it anymore in a working copy of the repository to build GNUstep core (as I was accustomed to do in the past).

Back to my initial problem…
I downloaded the package and it builds fine on Mac OS X.
However I have another error now when I try to install the built product:
make: /Users/qmathe/Desktop/nib2gmodel-0.11.0/usr/local/System/Makefiles/mkinstalldirs: Command not found
make: [install] Error 127 (ignored)
/usr/bin/install -c -m 0755 test gui/Model/obj/nib2gmodel /usr/local/bin
install: test: Inappropriate file type or format
make: *** [install] Error 71

You can't build nib2gmodel from this directory - it's only the top level part of nib2gmodel so it needs other externals. You should try building from gnustep/tools/nibg2model/tags/nib2gmodel-0_11_0 or just grab the tar.gz file from ftp://ftp.gnustep.org/pub/gnustep/dev-apps

Also, FYI, nib2gmodel will only build on Mac OS X or NeXT.

Thu 16 Mar 2006 05:53:20 PM UTC, original submission:

I'm currently using svn repository dev-modules/dev-apps/model-main from yesterday (2006/03/16)

I have tried to build nib2gmodel module on both Linux Ubuntu x86 and Mac OS X 10.4 with a complete GNUstep install (-make, -base, -gui and -back) with library-combo=gnu-gnu-gnu and FSF GCC 4.0.1

It fails on both platforms with the following errors:
make: ./make/clean_cpu.sh: command not found
make: ./make/clean_os.sh: command not found
make: *** No rule to make target `make/config.make.in', needed by `make-config-stamp'. Stop.

Therefore I have tried to replace './make' by '$(GNUSTEP_MAKEFILES)' in GNUmakefile.in, but it doesn't help a lot. Now the resulting error is just:
make: *** No rule to make target `make/config.make.in', needed by `make-config-stamp'. Stop.

I might be missing something obvious :-)

Quentin.
