Current installer is just broken ... hopefully a new version should be produced soon.

I tried installing with the windows installer (GNUstep-base-1.11.2-gui-0.10.2.exe),
=> there is no GNUstep.conf file created (anywhere).

I tried compiling one of the example apps (Calculator) & got :

plmerge.exe[3064] GNUSTEP_CONFIG_FILE value ('/etc/GNUstep/GNUstep.conf') is not an absolute path. Please rebuild GNUstep-base specifying a valid path to the config file.

there's a similar message in 08-test-base-installation.log
(cf attachements)

When I try to run the compiled app (not sure I'm doint this right !) :

$ openapp Calculator
/C/GNUstep/System/Tools/openapp: /C/GNUstep/GNUstep.conf: No such file or directory

I tried to create GNUstep.conf by copying & changing GNUstep.conf.in, but can't figure out all the vars values (the doc on the WEB about this has invalid links ! ;-)

any help would be appreciated, I'd like to give GNUstep a try (I'm a programmer, curious about GNUstep / obj-c)

thank you
Philippe
