I checked out the cvs again and this time autogen.sh didn't produce any error (when I just did an update it did!).

I've now found the libgnashplugin.so file, and it's in the firefox plugin directory, but firefox doesn't recognise it.

gnash nolonger segfaults, but when I run it, outputs nothing to the console, gives a black screen for the gnash window, and I can only kill it with 'killall gnash'

Running Debian linux on dual AMD Opteron.

gcc version 3.4.6

Linux triton 2.6.15 #2 SMP Thu Jan 5 13:42:22 GMT 2006 x86_64 GNU/Linux

When reporting seg faults, it's useful to mention the OS and GCC versions (gcc -v; uname -a) of the platform, since many bugs are related to these.

You can see where the plugin will get instralled when you configure. It's printed down near the wend of all the output, and is labeled. You may need to be root to install the plugin.

Makefile.in is an output file, not an input file. autogen.sh reads Makefile.am, and makes Makefile.in via automake. So this error shows something is majorly messed up. I'd make sure klash/Makefile.am is present, do a fresh update, and try again. Sometimes it's useful to do a "make distclean" to remove any old cruft left from previous attempts.

Just built the latest CVS version (6 Mar), ignored the errors regarding cannot find input file: plugin/klash/Makefile.in from autogen and configure.

When I run gnash test.swf I get "Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)"

Also, I can't find my firefox plugin, even when i added --with-plugindir.

Any ideas?
