The table editor wasn't properly checking the type of object selected.

ratmice select a table column, deselect it, select it, deselect it, delete
ratmice (so you should be deleting the table view)
ratmice don't even need to delete the first column
bheron Got it.

I have been unable to reproduce this issue. I have added and deleted columns from both table and outline views. I have clicked on columns about 200 to 300 times in both outline and table views without a failure.

I am consistently able to delete and add columns, rename columns without issues.

I will leave this issue open for further investigation as I suspect there's something missing from the description of what's going on.

sometimes it works,
other times it does nothing
sometimes it pretends like it is editing the column header name

sometimes same segfault after deleting a column then deleting the table view that contained it

i haven't been able to get consistent results through any single process of clicking/deleting but if you try it enough times
after selecting/deselecting the table column a few times
it should eventually segfault
