Great. Changing state to 'fixed'.

The changes are already in CVS, and will be included in the next release.

A new release will not be imminent, because I want to reach decent (or at least existing) documentation before releasing a new version.

If you want to help with that, or any other sourceinstall task,
check https://savannah.gnu.org/people/?group=sourceinstall

Thanks for your report.
There is a bug that triggers when not having the 'show configuration' option enabled in the GTK interface.

I fixed the issue, and a unified patch is available here.

Apply from the source directory of sourceinstall-gtk using:

patch < no_manual_conf.patch

However, I suggest you enable the 'show configuration' option in your GTK front-end preferences. You can always just click OK if you just want the defaults.

When I install/upgrade any package in 2.0's GTK frontend, I get the below error in a dialog box:

Configuration failed!
This error condition has been detected while running configuration scripts.

In the output area, I see:
$ --prefix=/usr/local
It's passing arguments to nothing.

The CLI version works fine.
